We are a Medicaid-certified agency, proudly contracted through the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD). Our team provides a wide range of person-centered services tailored to the unique needs and goals of the individuals we support.

Coverage Through DODD Waivers
Services for people with developmental disabilities are usually covered through DODD waivers (Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities). Waivers are special Medicaid programs that help people receive the support they need at home and in their community.
At Good Samaritan, we accept all of the main DODD Waivers including:
Level 1 Waiver – supports basic daily needs.
Individual Options (IO) Waiver – provides more comprehensive care, including 24-hour supports.
Self Waiver (Self-Directed Waiver) – gives families more choice and flexibility in how services are provided.
If you’re not sure which waiver you have, don’t worry! If you already have Medicaid and are connected with your county board of developmental disabilities, you may already qualify. We can help walk you through the process.

At Good Samaritan Home Health Care, our team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), often referred to as caregivers or home health aides, are the backbone of the compassionate care we provide. DSPs play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in their day-to-day lives. Our DSPs are highly trained, dependable, and passionate about making a positive impact. They provide hands-on assistance, emotional support, and encouragement to help individuals reach their highest potential.
